Living in a city where nature is increasingly dismissed as expendable, and trees fall to make way for towering buildings, I felt a growing urge to preserve what remains. Amid trash bins, beside abandoned structures awaiting demolition, and along the edges of parking lots, nature quietly resists. Weeds—often overlooked, dismissed, or even despised—persist in reclaiming space. These resilient plants, deemed unworthy simply because they thrive without our permission, are small but fierce reminders of nature’s will to endure. Through my work, I aim to shine a light on these overlooked survivors and conserve their presence for future generations.
